A huge mass procession and rally was held in Rangpur city on Saturday on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the July Revolution.

The protest march, organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur Metro Branch, started from the local July Square, Town Hall Square, Public Library Ground and passed through the Rangpur City Bazar, Supermarket, Payra Chattar, Jahaj Company Intersection, Press Club Square, Grand Hotel Intersection and ended with a rally at Shapla Chattar.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee Member and Rangpur Metropolitan Ameer Vice- Principal Maulana ATM Azom Khan presided over the rally. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee Member and Rangpur-Dinajpur Region Team Member and Rangpur-3 Sadar Constituency MP Prof Mahbubur Rahman Belal was the chief guest. Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur Metropolitan Secretary Anwarul Haque Kajal, Metro Assistant Secretary Al Amin Hasan Sadar Upazila Secretary Principal Muhammad Abdul Gani, Islami Chhatra Shibir Rangpur Metropolitan President Mohammad Anisur Rahman spoke at the rally, among others.

Meanwhile, a huge mass procession and rally under the flyover of the highway were held in Mithapukur Upazila of Rangpur on Saturday noon, on the occasion of the anniversary of the July Revolution, at the initiative of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. The chief guest at the rally was Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Rangpur District Ameer and Rangpur-5 Mithapukur constituency MP Prof Golam Rabbani.

Among others, Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur District Secretary Maulana Enamul Haque, Mithapukur Upazila Ameer Asaduzzaman Shimul, Workers Welfare Federation Rangpur District Secretary Harunur Rashid Belal, Mirzapur Union Parishad Chairman Shafiqul Islam spoke at the rally.
