Jagannath, Rokeya Hall champions in male, female categories of DU inter-hall handball competition

Jagannath Hall was the champion and Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall was the runner-up in the male category of the Dhaka University Inter-Hall Handball Competition. Rokeya Hall was the champion and Shamsun Nahar Hall was the runner-up in the female category.
In the students' group, Manik Hasan Mir of Haji Muhammad Muhsin Hall was named the top scorer with 24 goals. In addition, Md. Monayem Biswas of Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall was named the best goalkeeper and Gathi Dard of Jagannath Hall was named the best player.
In the girls' group, Ishrat Jahan of Rokeya Hall was the top scorer with 22 goals and Tithi Rani was the best goalkeeper. Lamia Akhter Lima of Shamsun Nahar Hall was adjudged the best player.
After the competition, prizes were distributed among the winners at a function held at the Physical Education Center on Monday.
The function was presided over by Dhaka University Handball Committee President Prof Dr. Md. Shariful Islam, along with Physical Education Center Advisor Prof Dr. SM Mostafa Al Mamun, center officials, DUCSU leaders, teachers and students from various halls were present.
