Islamic Movement Bangladesh's Iftar Mahfil, discussion meeting held in Shibchar

An Iftar mahfil and discussion meeting was held in Shibchar Upazila of Madaripur on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan under the initiative of the Islamic Movement Bangladesh Shibchar Upazila branch.
Local scholars, political leaders, media workers, civil servants, and people from different classes and professions participated in this Iftar Mahfil organized at the Shibchar Central Jama Masjid grounds on Saturday afternoon.
Alhaj Maulana Akram Hossain, President, National Ulama Mashayekh Parishad, Shibchar, was present as the chief guest. Maulana Farooq Ahmed, A.K.M. Emdadul Haque, Maulana Shah Alam Talukder, Maulana Abdus Salam and Md. Farooq Hossain, along with local scholars and dignitaries of the society, were present as special guests.
The program was presided over by Hafez Zaker Ahmed, President of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Shibchar Upazila Branch, and moderated by Maulana BM Hemayet Uddin. The speakers highlighted the importance and significance of the month of Ramadan and said that the month of Ramadan is the month of self-purification, restraint, patience and piety. This month brings about spiritual development of people and plays an important role in establishing justice, honesty and human values in the society.
The speakers said that the teachings of Ramadan can bring positive changes in individual life, social and state life. Everyone must work together to build a just society by taking a stand against corruption, irregularities and injustice. They emphasized on establishing Islamic values in the society, strengthening humanity and brotherhood.
The speakers at the discussion meeting also said that participating in the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections is an important and moral responsibility for the Islamic Movement of Bangladesh. They mentioned that the party is participating in the elections with the aim of protecting the rights of the people, establishing a just society, and being vocal against corruption and injustice.
Leaders, activists, supporters, madrasa students, and devout Muslims of the Islamic Movement Bangladesh from various unions of Shibchar Upazila were present at the event.
At the end of the discussion meeting, special prayers and supplications were offered for the peace, prosperity and welfare of the country, nation and Muslim Ummah. Later, iftar was served to all present and the iftar mahfil was concluded in a cordial atmosphere.
