To celebrate the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2025,
an anti-drug discussion meeting, rally and human chain were held at the Advocate Tarek Memorial Auditorium of Mymensingh Town Hall at 11 am on Thursday.
The event was presided over by Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Mofidul Alam and was attended by Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner Md. Mokhtar Ahmed as the chief guest. Mymensingh Range DIG Md. Ataul Kibria, Mymensingh Police Superintendent Kazi Akhtar ul Alam, Mymensingh Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Saiful Islam Khan, and Mymensingh Additional District Magistrate Umme Habiba Mira spoke as special guests. The main speaker at the discussion was Md. Zafarullah, Additional Director of the Mymensingh Divisional Office of the Narcotics Control Department. Md. Anwar Hossain, Deputy Director of the Mymensingh District Office of the Narcotics Control Department, delivered the welcome speech at the beginning of the program.
At the end of the discussion, prizes were distributed among the winners of the essay and drawing competition on the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
