Initiative to establish economic zone in Fatikchhari: MP Sarwar Alamgir meets with BIDA chairman

Fatikchhari MP Sarwar Alamgir held a bilateral meeting with Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Chairman Ashiq Chowdhury to establish a modern and planned economic zone in Fatikchhari on Wednesday.

In the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the huge investment potential of Fatikchhari, industrialization opportunities, local resources and potential sectors. During this time, MP Sarwar Alamgir presented the plan and necessity of developing a modern economic zone in Fatikchhari to the BIDA Chairman.

During the meeting, BIDA Chairman Ashiq Chowdhury assured that necessary steps would be taken by quickly forming a committee to examine the potential of Fatikchhari and sending a survey team.

MP Sarwar Alamgir said, "BIDA Chairman Ashiq Chowdhury is one of the architects of building a prosperous Bangladesh in the future. His visionary plans and dynamic leadership in attracting domestic and foreign investment are taking Bangladesh towards new possibilities. In our meeting with him today, we highlighted the huge investment potential of Fatikchhari."

He said, "Today, the journey of that dream that I promised to build a modern economic zone in Fatikchari officially begins. Through the bidder survey and subsequent activities, we want to quickly move forward on the path to making this initiative a reality."

The establishment of an economic zone in Fatikchari is expected to increase local and foreign investment, industrialization, employment generation, and massive development of the local economy.
