Identifiable Uttara aircraft crash victims to be handed over soon: CA’s office

Authorities will soon hand over the bodies from Monday's aircraft crash to their families, which are easily identifiable, while DNA tests will be conducted for the others, said CA’s press wing.
It said Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus is closely monitoring the treatment of those injured in the tragic incident.
“The bodies of those who can be identified among the death victims of the Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crash on the Milestone School and College compound in the capital's Diabari area will be handed over to their families immediately.
The bodies of those who cannot be identified right away will be handed over to their families following the confirmation of their identification through DNA tests,” the Press Wing said.
For the sake of ensuring uninterrupted medical care, the general people have been requested not to crowd hospital areas unnecessarily.
A Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) F-7 BGI training aircraft crashed on the Milestone School and College campus around 1:18pm on Monday, leaving at least 19 people dead and many others injured.
The government has announced that Tuesday would be observed as a day of national mourning following the tragic air crash.
