Historic Mujibnagar Day celebrated in Juri

On the occasion of the historic Mujibnagar Day celebration, a discussion meeting and prayer meeting on 'Historical Mujibnagar Day and Independence of Bangladesh' was held in Juri upazila of Moulvibazar. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Lusikanto Hajong presided over the discussion meeting organized by the upazila administration at the Upazila Parishad meeting room on Wednesday morning.
Present among others were Assistant Dental Surgeon of Upazila Health Complex Dr. Tapas Debnath, Chairman freedom fighter Abdur Noor of Sagarnal Union Parishad, Police Station SI Rafiqul Islam, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Mizanur Rahman, Youth Development Officer Md. Alamgir Hossain, Assistant Education Officer Mohammad Mohiuddin Bhuiyan, Upazila Ansar-VDP Officer Md. Abdur Rahman, Statistics Officer Shamimul Haque, Acting Social Service Officer Abdullah Al Mahmud Chowdhury, Upazila Rural Development Officer Tapan Sutra Dhar, Field Supervisor of Upazila Women's Affairs Office Mohammad Sujaudullah and others.
The speaker said - today 17th April is historical Mujibnagar Day, a unique day in the history of Bangladesh's freedom struggle and great liberation war. On this day in 1971, the liberation war and the governance of the government became institutionalized by taking the oath of the independent Bangladesh government.
