Gopalganj SP Habibullah awarded BPM-Service Medal

Gopalganj Police Superintendent Md. Habibullah has been awarded the Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM)-Service in recognition of his professional skills, dedication, bravery, crime prevention and special contribution to public service.
This information was given in a notification issued by the Police-2 Section of the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday. The notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Nasrin Sultana, announced the names of the medal recipients among the police members at various levels of the country.
According to the notification, a total of 92 police members have been awarded medals in four categories in recognition of their efficiency, courage, success in investigating important cases, public service activities and innovative initiatives from March 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026. Of these, 12 received the Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM), 18 received the BPM-Service, 18 received the President's Police Medal (PPM) and 44 received the PPM-Service.
In response to the award, Superintendent of Police Md. Habibullah said, this honor is not just a personal achievement, but also a recognition of the collective efforts, professionalism and dedication of all members of the Gopalganj District Police. He said, the district police is working relentlessly to maintain law and order, control crime and ensure public safety. In the future too, the responsibility will be carried out with the same sincerity to improve the quality of public service and earn the trust of the people.
Meanwhile, the achievement of the Superintendent of Police has aroused enthusiasm among the officers and members of the Gopalganj District Police. According to those concerned, this state recognition will further increase the sense of responsibility of the members of the district police and further accelerate their activities in maintaining public safety and law and order.
