Full-scale production resumes in Ashulia industrial zone

 Mehedi Shaon, Ashulia (Savar)

Following the extended Eid holidays, the industrial zone of Ashulia has returned to its familiar bustling rhythm. Over the past two days, workers have been steadily returning to their respective workplaces.

On Sunday morning, a steady stream of workers was seen in areas such as Dhaka-Aricha Highway, Nabinagar-Chandra, Baipail, and Jamgara, as they rejoined their factories.

According to authorities, worker attendance has reached nearly 98 percent. Despite traffic congestion and a shortage of public transport, most workers managed to arrive on time, some even traveled on the rooftops of buses or standing throughout the journey to ensure their return.

Fahmida Sharmin, HR Officer at CKDL Factory, said they introduced incentives such as rewards and a lottery system to ensure full attendance, which successfully motivated the workers.

Superintendent of Police for Industrial Police-1, Md. Mominul Islam Bhuiyan, stated, “Production has resumed in all factories. Apart from a few layoffs, the situation remains normal. Our surveillance is ongoing.”
