
Free medical services, medicines provided, public awareness activities in Bhola Sadar by Coast Guard

Bangladesh Coast Guard has provided free medical services and essential medicines and organised public awareness activities in Bhola Sadar on Sunday afternoon.
This information was given in a press release by Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Harun-or-Rashid.
According to the press release, since its inception till now, Bangladesh Coast Guard has come forward to meet various needs of the disadvantaged people of the coastal and riverside areas. The Coast Guard has been providing free medical services to the poor and low-income people through medical camps at different times.
In continuation of this, on (13 July) Wednesday from 10 am to 2 pm, Coast Guard Base Bhola organized a medical camp at the premises of 11 No. Veduria Union Parishad in Bankerkhat area under Bhola Sadar Police Station, where 486 helpless, poor, destitute people and children were provided with free medical services and essential medicines.
Additionally, awareness speeches were given on prevention of chickenpox, illegal fishing, prevention of drugs and human trafficking, use of illegal nets, conservation of forest resources, and safety of life and property on vessels and waterways. Local public representatives and general people were present at the awareness meeting.
Such public welfare activities by Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue in the future as well.
