A gathering of former leaders and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir was held at the initiative of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Mirsarai Upazila Unit at 10 am on Saturday in the auditorium of Nizampur Government College wuth Mirsarai Upazila Jamaat Ameer Md. Nurul Kabir in the chair and it was conducted by Secretary Mr. Anwar Ullah Al Mamun.
The chief guest of the event was Md. Alauddin Sikdar, Ameer of Chattogram North District Jamaat. Special guests included Adv Saifur Rahman, Deputy Attorney General of the Government and Jamaat-nominated Member of Parliament candidate for Mirsarai constituency; Nurul Huda Hamidi, Ameer of Jorarganj Thana; Dr. Abdul Gafur, Publicity Secretary; Maulana Mamunur Rashid, among others.
In his speech, the chief guest stated that in the Islamic movement, there is no concept of being a “former” member — everyone must work with the main organization. He urged everyone to set aside all grievances and unite for the sake of religion.
Special guest Adv Saifur Rahman said there is no room to lag behind in the Islamic movement. He emphasized that to achieve victory for Islam, everyone must unite like an unbreakable wall.
