Fire causes damage of Tk 30 lakh in Ishwardi

Fire gutted the house of Afzal Hossain, Charmirkamari Mathalpara village of Salimpur Union in Ishwardi, causing a loss of about three million including cash on Wednesday morning.
According to Ishradi Fire Service and Afzal Hossain's family sources, Munni Khatun, the housewife of Afzal Hossain's house, started boiling eggs in an electric jug in the kitchen. At that time, the fire started from the jug through an electric short circuit and the fire gradually spread throughout the house.
In this, all the property of the house, including five houses, 45,000 taka cash kept in the house, five jewels, kitchen, cattle shed were burnt to ashes. Md. Monir Hossain, son of Afzal Hossain, a local resident and victim, said, I was working at Bangladesh Sugarcrop Research Institute at 8 am when I got the news of a fire in my house and rushed home. Tried to put out the fire with the help of locals.
However, about 50 minutes after the information was given, the Ishwardi unit of the fire service reached the spot, but by then everything was reduced to ashes. Amirul Islam, Wire House Inspector of Ishwardi Fire Service, said that the fire was reported at 8:38 in the morning and reached the scene at 8:46. So the allegation that we arrived late is false.
