Female drug dealer arrested with cannabis in Savar

Dhaka District DB (North) conducted a special operation in the Jorpool area of Savar and arrested a female drug dealer with 500 grams of cannabis.
The operation was carried out on October 1 at 10:30 p.m. under the leadership of DB (North) OC Md. Jalal Uddin, with SI (unarmed) Kazi Kamal Mia and other forces participating.
The arrested woman has been identified as Minara (38), a resident of Nurabad, Charfashion, Bhola. She is the daughter of Lalu Hawlader and Rahima.
According to DB (North) sources, a case (No. 05) has been filed against the accused under Section 36(1), Schedule 19(a) of the Narcotics Control Act 2018 at Savar Model Police Station, and she has been sent to the court.
Superintendent of Police Md. Anisuzzaman (PPM) stated that this operation will help ensure the security of the capital and raise public awareness against drugs.
DB sources further informed that through surveillance and intelligence-based activities, drug dealers were identified during the operation. This initiative will further strengthen anti-narcotics activities in Savar and surrounding areas.
