Faridpur Development Agency (FDA) handed over five wheelchairs to Faridpur Diabetes Medical College and Hospital on Saturday to facilitate the mobility of patients seeking medical care at the facility.
FDA Executive Director Abu Saher Alam officially delivered the wheelchairs to Professor Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman Shamim, Convener of the Supervisory Committee of the Faridpur Diabetic Association, during a formal handover at the hospital premises. Senior hospital officials and specialist physicians were also present at the event.
Hospital authorities and attending physicians lauded the initiative as a commendable humanitarian step. The addition of the wheelchairs is expected to ease movement and healthcare access for elderly, physically challenged, and mobility-impaired patients visiting the hospital.
Stakeholders expressed optimism that such collaborative welfare initiatives will reduce patient suffering while enhancing the overall quality of healthcare delivery at the institution.
