Fascism can return anytime, fears Fakhrul

Expressing grave concern over the country’s prevailing situation, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that fascism can resurface at any time in the country.
“Fascism has fallen but can reemerge if we take any imprudent decision,” Fakhrul said while addressing a programme held at the national press club in Dhaka on Thursday.
Calling upon everyone not to step into any trap, the BNP leader said national unity is a must to safeguard the achievements of the 5 August mass upsurge.
Referring to the ISKCON issue, Fakhrul said a vested quarter is attempting to destabilise the country’s overall situation in a planned way to meet its evil design.
