Farid Ahmed has joined Bangladesh Railway (West) Rajshahi as General Manager on Sunday.
Farid Ahmed is a member of the BCS 18th batch BCS (Railway Engineering: Equipment) cadre.
He served in important positions including GIBR, Chief Equipment Controller, Additional General Manager (West), Equipment Controller (East), Additional Chief Equipment Controller and Director Inventory Control of Bangladesh Railway.
Farid Ahmed earned his BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology in 1995. He has received training in various institutions in the country and abroad to enhance his professional skills.
He was born on 2nd February 1969 in Singra Upazila of Natore District in a respectable Muslim family. His wife Samsun Nahar Sumi is an officer of BCS (Administration) cadre. He is the father of 2 (two) sons.
Outside of his professional engagements, he is passionate about various social, cultural, and sporting activities.
