Fake doctor jailed for 2 years in Noakhali

A mobile court in Noakhali sentenced a fake doctor to two years imprisonment in the district town on Friday afternoon.
The court also fined Habibur Rahman, 47, Tk 50,000, in default he will has to suffer more one month imprisonment, said Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (land) Asif Al Jinnat, who led the mobile court.
The executive magistrate said Habibur had been treating patients at a clinic 'Labaid Hospital Diagnostic Centre' in the district pretending as Rakib Ahsan and identifying himself as an expert of Neuro-medicine department and an Assistant Professor of Bangladesh Medical College and Hospital, Dhaka.
As Habibur could not show any proper documents over his medical educational qualification during the drive, he was awarded the punishment, added the magistrate.
RAB-1, CPC-3 camp company commander Lt Mahbudul Hasan said acting on a tip-off, the executive magistrate along with RAB-11 personnel conducted a raid in the clinic and arrested him.
