Educational institutions have been shamelessly partisanized in  past :  Khairul Kabir Khokon MP.

BNP Joint Secretary General and MP from Narsingdi-1 Sadar constituency Khairul Kabir Khokon said, "Education is a fundamental right. We want to make it universal for everyone, it will not be party-based or politicized. We are saying that it will be based on merit.

Those who are eligible will definitely get first priority. In the past, there has been shameless party-based recruitment in educational institutions and in all fields, from teacher recruitment. Who will be the head teacher, who will be the principal, who will be the professor, who will be the lecturer, it will definitely be based on his merit. We will see his merit, wisdom, etc. Political considerations or any other identity are not the main consideration for us. The main consideration is whether his merit, talent, wisdom are there. Whether he has the experience to conduct classes there as a teacher, in that specific subject, that is what we are looking at."

He made these remarks while attending a view-sharing meeting organized by the Bangladesh Teachers-Employees Unity Alliance Narsingdi District at the Narsingdi District BNP office on Saturday afternoon as the chief guest to improve the quality of education.

Present at the event were Abdul Wadud, General Secretary of the College Teachers' Association, Touhidul Islam, President of the Teachers-Employees' Unity Alliance Narsingdi District and Vice-President of the District BNP, B.G. Rashid Nowsher, General Secretary Bashed Mollah, and teachers from various educational institutions in the district.
