With a strategic vision to scale up international trade, technological innovation, smart infrastructure development, and cross-border investment partnerships, EATL Innovation Hub Limited hosted a prestigious dinner and discussion seminar at the ballroom of The Westin Dhaka on Saturday.

The high-profile event was organized by M. A. Mubin Khan, Managing Director of EATL Innovation Hub, in honour of a visiting high-level business and investor delegation from the United Kingdom and China.

The gathering served as a vital trilateral platform to explore fresh economic cooperation, frontier tech transfers, and sustainable development goals between Bangladesh, the UK, and China. The event drew an influential audience of top-tier government policymakers, global venture capitalists, industrial tycoons, and diverse sector leaders.

Among the notable dignitaries in attendance were the Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Mrs. Afroza Khanam Rita, MP; BNP Standing Committee Member and former Minister, Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan, MP; and Vice Chairman of the BNP National Executive Committee, Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, MP. Senior secretaries from various ministries, the Director General of the DGME, and top corporate executives were also present.

The international delegation was spearheaded by Councilor Abdul Jabbar MBE, Deputy Leader of Oldham Council and Chairman of the Greater Manchester Bangladesh Partnership Board. The visiting team included Andrew McCully (Emergreen Capital), Chris Baldwin (Architecton Construction), Hou Chunlin (Vizient Holding Limited), and Qiu Ran (Sheng Kai International Limited).

Strategic discussions centered on high-yielding investment avenues across renewable energy, national infrastructure projects, specialized education, modern healthcare, tourism, and high-tech ecosystems. The foreign delegates expressed keen interest in co-launching joint ventures in Bangladesh, focusing heavily on green energy frameworks, international project financing, technical skill incubation, and innovation-led GDP growth.

This high-profile convention follows a previous bilateral milestone in November 2025, when M. A. Mubin Khan visited the UK alongside the Vice-Chancellor of the National University of Bangladesh. That overseas mission included high-level policy briefings at the UK House of Commons with Jim McMahon OBE, MP, and the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, laying the groundwork for bilateral academic and technological exchanges.

Addressing the assembly, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Mrs. Afroza Khanam Rita, MP, highlighted that the Bangladesh government is aggressively implementing regulatory reforms to attract foreign direct investment (FDI), expand international trade routes, accelerate digital transformation, and position the country as a regional hub for business and tech-driven innovation.

Highlighting the diplomatic ties, Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan, MP, noted that Bangladesh shares deeply cordial and historically significant relationships with both the UK and China. He emphasized that the non-resident Bangladeshi (NRB) diaspora continues to play a vital role in reinforcing these international bridges, while stressing that robust public-private partnerships (PPP) are indispensable to sustaining the nation's economic momentum.

Bangladesh is rapidly transitioning toward a tech-driven economy. By establishing joint ventures with global institutional partners, we are fully committed to empowering our future generations with frontier technical skills while unlocking unprecedented avenues for global investments, said M. A. Mubin Khan, Managing Director of EATL Innovation Hub.

As Bangladesh’s pioneering private-sector-led innovation ecosystem, EATL Innovation Hub Limited operates a state-of-the-art technological complex at the Kaliakoir Hi-Tech Park in Gazipur. The institution is actively driving capital investments and human resource development in cutting-edge frontier fields, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data Analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR), and Virtual Reality (VR).

By collaborating on joint research and AI-centric pilots with top-tier domestic and global universities, the hub is consistently working to build a future-ready, skilled workforce aligned with evolving global industrial demands. This grand assembly marks a definitive milestone in broadening Bangladesh's international investment horizons and reinforces EATL Innovation Hub's commitment to bridging the gap between global financiers and local innovators.
