DU Vice Chancellor meets Chief Adviser Dr. Yunus

Dhaka University Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan met with Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the state guest house Jamuna on Tuesday evening.
The meeting was part of the university’s regular efforts to keep the interim government’s Chief Adviser informed about its overall affairs.
During the meeting, VC Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan apprised the Chief Adviser of several key updates, including the progress of activities undertaken by the Election Commission formed for the DUCSU election, the overall security situation on campus, academic and research initiatives, advancement of development projects, and various recently adopted student welfare measures.
The VC sought the Chief Adviser’s support in expediting major infrastructural projects awaiting ECNEC approval, including the construction of new halls and university buildings. He also requested increased government funding to further strengthen and energize the university’s research programs.
In addition, the VC extended an invitation to the Chief Adviser to attend Dhaka University’s upcoming Convocation as a guest of honor.
Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus expressed satisfaction with the overall academic and research progress of the university and assured all possible support for the development of education and research at Dhaka University.
