
DU Teachers’ 15-day training workshop begins

A 15-day training workshop titled ‘Training Program: Foundation Certificate in University Teaching and Learning’, organized by the Dhaka University Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), has started on Sunday at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest.
IQAC Director Professor Dr. M Rezaul Islam presided over the inaugural ceremony, while Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed and Treasurer Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury spoke as special guests.
Former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr. Anwarullah Chowdhury and Bangladesh University Grants Commission member Prof Dr. Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan were present as resource persons. IQAC Additional Director Prof Dr. Md. Saiful Alam delivered the welcome address. Additional Director Professor Dr. Syed Shahriar Rahman conducted the program.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan called upon everyone to work together to elevate the position of Dhaka University to the top level in international rankings. He said, improving the quality of education and research is our main goal. In this regard, he expressed hope that this workshop will play an effective role in enhancing the skills and confidence of teachers.
