DU prigrammes on 50th death anniv of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam

The 50th death anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam will be celebrated with due dignity at Dhaka University on Thursday, The Dhaka University authorities have taken up various programs on the occasion.
According to the program, on the morning of 12 Bhadra at 6:30 am, the university's teachers, students, officials and employees will gather at the foot of the Invincible Bangla under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam. From there, at 6:45, a procession will be taken to the poet's tomb, wreaths will be laid and Fateha will be recited.
Later, a discussion meeting will be held on the open stage in the premises of the poet's tomb under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam. Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Abdus Salam, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani and Treasurer Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury will speak in the discussion meeting. Director of Nazrul Research Center Prof Dr. Tariq Manjur will deliver a memorial speech. Chairman of the Bangla Department Professor Dr. Sirajul Islam (Siraj Salekin) will conduct the program.
