Drive of Coast Guard : Banned, endangered species of 'Shapla Pata', Pitambari and shark fish seized in Kalapara

Banned Shapla Pata, Pitambari and Shark fish have been seized in a Coast Guard operation at Nizampur of Patuakhali's Mohipur police station.
On Thursday, on the basis of secret information, a special operation was conducted by BCG station Nizampur under Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone led by Contingent Commander Abu Rashed Sumon in the area adjacent to Mahipur Janani barfkal ghat in Shibbaria river.
A wooden trawling boat named MV Ma Johnni (05) was seized in the raid. 2000 kg of Shapla leaf fish, 300 kg of Pitambari and 40 kg of shark fish were seized from the arrested trawling boat.
Mohipur Range Officer Abul Kalam Azad said, in the presence of this correspondent to Kalapara Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Mohsin Razor, Nizampur Coast Guard buried the seized in the soil at around 3 pm.
