Dohar Pourashava administration and the Upazila administration evicted illegal mobile shops occupying the footpaths of Joypara Bazar and the adjacent Upazila road in Dohar Upazila, Dhaka.
On Wednesday at 11 a.m., Dohar Pourashava Administrator and UNO Tania Tabassum conducted an eviction drive targeting hundreds of mobile shops set up along approximately two kilometers of footpath from Joypara Bazar, the Upazila Parishad road, to the Dohar Thana road. The operation was supported by Dohar Thana Police and Dohar Fire Service.
According to mobile vendors, raw material sellers had been conducting business by occupying the footpath of Joypara Bazar for a long time. Additionally, mobile shops along the Upazila Parishad road up to the Dohar Thana intersection were evicted.
Present during the operation were Dohar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Tasfiq Sifgat Ullah, Pourashava Executive Engineer MM Mamunur Rashid, Pourashava Executive Officer Md. Kamal Hossain, Joypara Bazar Multipurpose Cooperative Society President SM Kuddus, General Secretary Md. Abdul Aziz, and businesspersons of Joypara Bazar.
