Divisional Football Tournament on Youth Festival held in Barishal

With the slogan "Come, let's change the country, let's change the world", the inaugural ceremony of the Inter-College Football Tournament 2024 at the Divisional Level was held in Barishal at the District Outer Stadium on on Saturday at 10 am on the occasion of the Youth Festival organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and implemented by the Divisional Administration.
The chief guest of the event was Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Barishal Md. Sohrab Hossain.
The event was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Barishal Md. Delwar Hossain. The special guest was Superintendent of Police Barishal Md. Sharif Uddin.
The convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Barisal Metropolitan Shahidul Islam Shahed and the players were present at the time. In the beginning, the national anthem was played and the national flag was hoisted by the chief guest and other guests.
Later, after a brief discussion, the inter-college football tournament was inaugurated by releasing a balloon festoon. Later, the opening match will be played between Government Suhrawardy College Pirojpur and Bhola Government College.
A total of 12 teams, including 8 teams, will compete in the first round. The final match will be held on February 11.
