District Jamaat strongly condemns Patgram municipal Ameer's arrest

A student activist, Md. Shakib, was seriously injured in the Kalirhat area of Patgram Union, Lalmonirhat, after being invited for tea at 8 pm on Sunday.
Later, the local people rescued him and admitted him to the Patgram Health Complex. On the way to the medical facility to check on him, the leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir were attacked again by the leaders and activists of Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal. They were seriously injured.
On the other hand Patgram police station completely unjustly arrested the injured Shibir worker from Patgram Medical and took him to the police station.
Then, they arrested several leaders and activists, including his father. They also arrested those who went to the police station to file cases and sent them to jail.
The district Jamaat has informed. It called on all concerned, including the police, to play their desired and responsible role to keep the environment calm. It also demanded the immediate withdrawal of the false case and the release of the 5 Shibir leaders and activists who were arrested and called on the administration to investigate this brutal attack and take necessary measures.
On Monday, March 23, Lalmonirhat District Jamaat Ameer Advocate Abu Taher, District Secretary Advocate Md. Firoz Haider Lavlu and Assistant Secretary Hafez Shah Alam strongly condemned the incident and demanded their immediate release.
Patgram Municipal Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Md. Sohel Rana was arrested by Patgram Police Station from Patgram area on Tuesday, March 24 afternoon. He strongly condemned these unwanted incidents and demanded the immediate release of those arrested.
