On the occasion of World Environment Day, a discussion meeting was held on Tuesday at 10 am organized by the Baniarchar Sampriti Aid Foundation of Jalirpar Union of Muksudpur Upazila.
The meeting was chaired by the Executive Director of Sampriti Aid Foundation, Sabharanjan Sikder, and the project coordinator of Sampriti Aid Foundation,
The event was moderated by Coordinator Masum Billah Sohag and the chief guest was Mahfuzur Rahman, Assistant Director of Gopalganj District Environment Department.
The special guests were Gopalganj Development Society Executive Director Biva Rani Sikder and Kaligram Samaj Kalyan Jubo Sangha President Ratan Vaidya. All the officers/staff of Sampriti Foundation and 100 volunteers participated in the event.
The chief guest of the event, Assistant Director of Gopalganj District Environment Department, Mahfuzur Rahman, said, "The initiative taken by Sampriti Aid Foundation regarding the environment deserves praise. If we all fulfill our responsibilities towards the environment, the environment of the area will improve."
Executive Director of Sampriti Aid Foundation, Savaranjan Sikder, said, "I urge every person in the country to plant more and more trees to protect the environment." After the discussion, a rally was held from the Sampriti Foundation office and a human chain was formed at Baniarchar bus stand on Tekerhat-Gopalganj road.
