Disabled Sajal gets wheelchair thru' Sherpir DC’s humanitarian aid

Sajal Mia, a physically challenged individual from an impoverished day-laborer family in Charsherpur village under Sherpur Sadar Upazila, received a wheelchair through the humanitarian support of Sherpur Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Farida Yasmin.
He officially accepted the wheelchair from Deputy Commissioner Farida Yasmin during the weekly public hearing program hosted by the district administration on Thursday.
Deputy Director of Local Government Division Arifa Siddika, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Shakil Ahmed, along with other officials from the district administration and members of Sajal Mia's family, were present at the event.
While handing over the wheelchair, Deputy Commissioner Farida Yasmin stated, "The district administration will continue its public-centric efforts to stand by people with special needs and marginalized communities to ease their daily lives."
Over a hundred helpless and underprivileged families received various forms of assistance during the regular public hearing session organized by the district administration.
