Ambassadors and senior diplomatic representatives from Singapore, Morocco, Kosovo, and the Maldives visited the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Academy in Shafipur, Gazipur, on Monday to inspect its modern vocational training infrastructure and technical human resource development initiatives.

Director General of the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP, Major General Abdul Motalib Sazzad Mahmud, received the delegation and presented an overview of the force's organizational structure, ongoing modernization drive, structural reforms, and contributions to national security and socioeconomic development.

During the briefing, the Director General highlighted recent structural reforms within the country's largest paramilitary and volunteer organization. He noted that the force has ensured 50 percent female representation across all levels and integrated its members into a unified network spanning rural to international domains via a proprietary Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. He further explained that through the Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank and the Prokolpo Sonjibon initiative, the force actively contributes toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by expanding financial inclusion and grassroots entrepreneurship.

Major General Abdul Motalib Sazzad Mahmud emphasized that beyond maintaining internal security, building a skilled 21st-century workforce aligned with International Labour Organization (ILO) standards remains a key institutional priority. He stated that the force has forged partnerships with international organizations, including institutions in Japan, to facilitate ethical migration in technology and technical sectors. Utilizing biometric and database systems, the organization works to secure direct overseas employment, streamline specialized training, and enhance official remittance inflows without middleman intervention.

Following the presentation, the diplomatic delegation toured the Peripheral Power Training Center (PSTC) aboard electric vehicles. The envoys inspected various facilities, including the 6G welding workshop, green energy and solar power instruction units, driving simulators, mobile ICT training buses, cottage industry units, the Japanese language training center, hospitality and culinary arts labs, and mass technical training modules covering construction, driving, and garments sectors. The delegation expressed satisfaction with the practical training methodologies and modern equipment on display.

Diplomatic dignitaries present during the visit included Maldivian High Commissioner Shiuneen Rasheed, Ambassador of Kosovo Lulzim Pllana, Acting High Commissioner of Singapore Philip Ong, and Ambassador of Morocco Lalla Bouthaina El Kerdoudi El Koulali. Official sources noted that the visit provided an international platform to showcase Bangladesh's technical training capabilities while paving the way for bilateral cooperation and skilled manpower export opportunities across global labor markets.
