A truck filled with adulterated pipe ice cream named "Bhorsa Slice" in Araihazar, Narayanganj has been seized by the Araihazar Police and 3 people involved have been sent to the Narayanganj court after filing a case.
The police seized the truck from the Brahmandi area of the Madanpur-Narasingdi highway in the upazila at around 10:30 pm on Wednesday (August 12). They were sent to the court on Thursday morning.
According to the case report, a yellow and blue cargo truck filled with adulterated orange pipe ice cream named "Bhorsa Slice" was seized by the public at 11 am on Wednesday near the Balur Math in the Brahmandi Paschimpara area of the road.
SI Mohammad Bin Asad of Araihazar Police Station, while on patrol duty and warrant duty at Araihazar intersection at night, received a report on his mobile phone that the truck (Dhaka Metro-T-18-6156) was carrying 120 boxes worth 144,000 taka and a total of 28,800 pieces of orange-colored "Bhorsa Slice" ice cream, 240 pieces per box, and arrested the cargo truck. Three people in the truck, Mostak Mia (21), son of A. Motaleb, son of Habibur Rahman, Junayed, son of Habibur Rahman, and Emon Mia (19), son of Abul Khair of the same village, were arrested and brought to the police station. The arrested people are said to be the driver and helper of the truck.
