The Community Policing Day-2023 was observed in Nakla upazila of Sherpur district on Saturday in a befitting manner. A colorful rally and a short discussion meeting were held keeping the slogan "Making police-people unity to build a smart Bangladesh" on the occasion of the day.

Marking the day, Nakla Thana Police and Upazila Community Policing forum jointly brought out a colorful rally. The rally was brought out from front of Thana premises that paraded some important town roads. The rally led by Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Abdul Kader Mia.

Later, an awareness meeting was held at Officer-in-Charge's office. The Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Abdul Kader Mia presided over the meeting, where upazila parishad chairman Shah Md Burhan Uddin present as the chief guest.

Among others, Upazila Awami League General Secretary FF Shafikul Islam Zinnah, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Mohammad Saroar Alam Talukdar, Upazila Awami League Organizing Secretary Abdur Rashid Sarkar, Office Secretary Rafiqul Islam Sohel, Urfa UP Chairman Nure Alam Talukdar Bhutto, Chandrakona UP Chairman Kamruzzaman Gendu, Sergeant (Acting Traffic Inspector) Salman Khan Rajan and Nakla Press Club President Md Musharaf Hossain were present as special guests.
