Coast Guard operation in Bhola : 4 including head of 'Belayet Bahini' detained with domestic weapons

Bangladesh Coast Guard detained four active members along with the head of terrorist group 'Belayet Bahini' in Bhola along with two domestic firearms, two fresh cartridges and four domestic weapons on Monday noon.
Media Officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters Lieutenant Commander Khandaker Munif Taqi gave this information.
The Bangladesh Coast Guard is working successfully in suppressing terrorist activities in coastal areas along with maintaining law and order in the country. In continuation of this, on Monday , from 0230 hours to 0500 hours on Monday night, a joint operation was conducted by BCG Base Bhola under Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone in coordination with Bangladesh Coast Guard and Bangladesh Police at Bapta Union No. 5 under Sadar Upazila of Bhola district.
In the operation, four terrorists Md Belayet Hossain, Sheikh Farid, Md Kamal and Md Al Amin were arrested along with two domestic firearms, two cartridges and 04 domestic weapons (03 knives and 01 chapati). It is known that the detained terrorists have been carrying out various types of crimes under the leadership of Belayet Hossain for a long time by extortion, land grabbing and intimidation. Besides, there are several cases against the detained Md Belayet Hossain including murder and extortion.
Coast Guard handed over the arrested terrorists and seized arms, cartridges and all evidence to Bhola Sadar police station.
