Coast Guard DG visits Bhola to see law and order situation ahead of elections

The Director General of Coast Guard inspected the activities of Coast Guard to maintain law and order in Bhola during the 12th National Assembly Elections.
On Thursday (January 4, 2024) afternoon, media officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, Lt. Commander Khandaker Munif Taqi informed this.
He said that along with other law enforcement forces in the 12th National Assembly elections, the Bangladesh Coast Guard is serving as a mobile team/striking force to provide overall support to the local administration during the pre-election, election and post-election period. According to the instructions of the Election Commission.
Bangladesh Coast Guard is engaged in the responsibility of mobile and striking force from 29 December 2023 to 10 January 2024 to maintain overall peace and order in the coastal 43 unions. In this context, Director General Bangladesh Coast Guard Rear Admiral Ashraful Haque Chowdhury, NBP, BCGM, NDU, AFWC, PSC inspected the preparations and activities of the Coast Guard to maintain overall law and order in the constituencies under the jurisdiction of Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone on Thursday, 04 January 2024. Later he gave an orientation speech to the members of the Coast Guard Contingent.
In this regard, Director General of Bangladesh Coast Guard said, Bangladesh Coast Guard is always active in fulfilling its responsibilities in creating an environment for a free, fair and impartial election as per the instructions of the Election Commission.
