
Coast Guard detained three notorious member of ' Dayal Bahini' dacoit gang in Bagerhat

The Coast Guard arrested three notorious members of ' Dayal Bahini ' robber gang in Dubla, Bagerhat, along with a foreign single-barrel gun and 36 rounds of live cartridges.
Lieutenant Commander Md. Siam-ul-Haq, the media officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, gave this information on Monday evening.
According to intelligence sources, for a long time, an active robber group called Dayal Bahini had been carrying out various criminal activities including extortion, kidnapping, and intimidation at the hands of armed men in the Dubla Char area of the Sundarbans. Today, January 27, 2025, at approximately 6 am, when the brutal bandit Dayal Bahini members attacked innocent fishermen in Dublar Char in the Sundarbans, the brave fishermen fought off the bandits in self-defense and at the same time called the Coast Guard station in Dublar Char for help. At one stage of the scuffle between the fishermen and the bandits, the fishermen were able to catch the bandits with their nets.
The bandits were slightly injured as a result of the scuffle. Later, the Coast Guard arrived and arrested the bandits in their injured state. In the said operation, 3 active bandits of Dayal Bahini were arrested along with 1 foreign single-barrel gun and 36 rounds of live ammunition. The arrested bandit group members Md. Rahmat Morol (26), Md. Rabiul Mollah (26) and Md. Jahangir Sheikh (51) are said to be residents of Khulna, Satkhira and Bagerhat districts respectively. It is worth noting that an Indian Aadhaar card named Babu Gazi was found with the robber member Md. Rabiul Molla.
The process of handing over the arrested robbers along with all the seized evidence to the concerned police station for further legal action is under process.
