In a vibrant and colorful celebration, the Dohar Press Club in Dhaka’s Dohar upazila organized a grand event to mark the Bengali New Year 1432 and launched its official website.The celebration took place throughout the day on Monday  in a festive atmosphere at the Dohar Press Club.Dohar Press Club President Md. Tarek Rajib said, “The Bengali New Year is a day of celebration for all Bengalis. This festival enriches our cultural identity. I am sincerely thankful to everyone for ensuring today's event was conducted in such a beautiful and orderly manner. I have never seen such a wonderful event at the Dohar Press Club before.”Senior Vice President of the Dohar Press Club and Samakal correspondent Mahbubur Rahman Tipu said in his speech, “Celebrating the Bengali New Year is an important part of our history and tradition. On this New Year, I pray to Almighty Allah for happiness, peace, and prosperity in everyone’s personal, family, and national life. We are very happy to have organized such an event at the Dohar Press Club. We hope to continue this tradition in the future, InshaAllah.” He also extended heartfelt New Year greetings and thanks to all members and those involved.General Secretary of the Press Club and Bijoy TV correspondent Ataur Rahman Sani said, “I thank all the members of the Press Club for their participation and efforts in promoting and publicizing this event. On the occasion of Bengali New Year, each member received a new panjabi, Press Club ID card, and participated in daylong Baishakhi cultural festivities including food and entertainment programs.”Traditional Bengali dishes like panta, ilish (hilsa fish), various fruits, yogurt, puffed rice, and sweets were served for lunch.Notable attendees included Acting Principal of Begum Ayesha Pilot Girls' High School and College Shamima Akhter, Senior Vice President Mahbubur Rahman Tipu, Vice President Oli Ahmed, Joint General Secretary Abu Nayeem Mohammad Taimia, Kazi Zobayer, Sharif Hasan, Sujon Hossain, Alomgir Hossain, Suman, among others.Later, a cultural program was organized with performances by members of the Dohar Press Club.
