CEC may announce schedule for 12th JS polls tomorrow

In an address to the nation, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal may announce the schedule for the 12th parliamentary election tomorrow.
The CEC is scheduled to sit for a meeting with other commissioners ta the commission office around 5 pm on Wednesday and after emerging from the meeting, he will address the nation.
He may announce the schedule for the upcoming general election during his address to the nation, according to the source.
Earlier on November 9, the CEC held a meeting with President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban and shared the president about the Election Commission’s preparation ahead of the 12th parliamentary election.
After the meeting, he told journalists that the schedule of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections will be announced soon as the polls must be held before January 29.
