Rains likely in Dh, 7 other div

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rains at several places in seven divisions of the country including Dhaka in 24 hours commencing 9am on Tuesday.“Rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met office bulletin.Besides, a mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Faridpur, Madaripur, Jashore, Noakhali, Feni, Chattogram, Bandarban and Rangamati and it may abate from some places, it added.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.Meanwhile, the low pressure area over central part of South Bay moved slightly northwestwards and now lies over Southwest Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay at 06 am of Tuesday.
It is likely to move northwestwards next 12 hours and thereafter likely to move northwards.A trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area.
