Building social awareness thru' debate practice to be raised: DU Pro-VC Admin

Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani has called upon students to create social awareness on public health, food safety and consumer rights through debating. He made this call as the chief guest while addressing the prize distribution ceremony of the Inter-University Debating Competition organized by Professor Abdullah Farooq of the Faculty of Business Studies at the Multipurpose Conference Hall on Saturday.

He made this call as the chief guest while addressing the prize distribution ceremony of the Inter-University Debating Competition organized by Professor Abdullah Farooq of the Faculty of Business Studies at the Multipurpose Conference Hall on Saturday.
The competition was jointly organized by Dhaka University Debating Society ( DUDS ) and Dhaka Ahsania Mission.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani said that it is possible to find solutions to problems through rational discussion and exchange of views on various contemporary issues, including social problems. He expressed the hope that constructive debate on contemporary national and global issues will play a role in developing students' research and analytical skills.
Dhaka University Debating Society President Md. Sajid Hasan presided over the event, while Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution ( BSTI ) Secretary and Director General Kazi Emdadul Haque and Global Health Advocacy Incubator Bangladesh Country Lead Muhammad Ruhul Quddus spoke as special guests. The event was moderated by the organization's General Secretary Miftahul Jannat Rifat.
