Hushiar Ali, the former chairman, has been laid to rest with national dignity and the respect and love of thousands of people. The deceased was buried in the family cemetery after the guard of honor at the Lalabazar Union Parishad premises at 4 pm on Friday at 9 pm in his native Fuldi village.

A smart police team gave him a guard of honor in the presence of Dakshin Surma Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nusrat Laila Neera. Brave freedom fighter Hunshiar Ali died on February 22 at 5:30 Bangladesh time while undergoing treatment in a hospital in New York City, America.

Three times elected former chairman of Lalabazar Union Parishad, Bir Muktijodha Hunshiar Ali Lalabazar School and College, former president of Lalabazar Fazil Madrasa Management Council, former member of Dakshin Surma College Governing Body, former president of Sylhet District Chairman's Association, former convener of Sylhet District Freedom Fighter Command Council.
