The workshop on 31-point agenda to repair state and representative conference was opened by the party chief at the initiative of Kapasia Upazila BNP organs and associate organizations in Gazipur. The day-long workshop was held on Friday, February 28, at the field adjacent to Giaspur in Barishab Union.

The chief guest at the event was Shah Riazul Hannan Riaz, joint convener of Gazipur District BNP and Kapasia Upazila BNP President. At the beginning, Maulana Habibur Rahman, general secretary of the Ulama Dal, recited from the Holy Quran. Later, Maulana Siddique Hossain, convener of the Ulama Dal, offered condolences and prayed in the name of the deceased leader, late Brigadier General (retd) Asam Hannan Shah and other deceased leaders.

The representative conference held under the chairmanship of Upazila BNP Senior Vice President FM Momtaz Uddin Renu was attended by more than a thousand grassroots leaders of Upazila BNP, Union BNP, Wards and all affiliated organizations. The leaders present at the conference urged BNP to be more well-organized and united in the coming days. The party leaders urged the leaders and workers at all levels of the party to be ready to make more sacrifices and be election-oriented in view of the National Assembly elections.

Iqbal Hossain Sheikh, District Mohila Dal president Jannatul Ferdousi, District Krishak Dal member secretary Fakir Iskander Alam Janu, Upazila BNP organizing secretary Advocate Matiur Rahman, Durgapur Union BNP president Solaiman Mollah, Chandpur Union BNP president Nazrul Islam Morol, Kapasia Sadar Union BNP president and BRDB chairman Selim Hossain Arju, Targaon Union BNP president Badruzzaman Bepari, Karihata Union BNP president Advocate Lutfar Rahman, Sanmania Union BNP President Touhiduzzaman Tapan, Ghagutia Union BNP President Bazlur Rashid Nayan, Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Faridul Alam Bulu, Barishab Union BNP President Maulana Kafil Uddin, Upazila Ulama Dal President Maulana Siddique Hossain, Rayed Union BNP President Matiur Rahman Zafar, Singhashree Union BNP President Sakhawat Hossain Mansur Bhuiyan, Upazila Jubo Dal Member Secretary Junaid Hossain Lyon, Upazila Mohila Dal General Secretary Sharmin Sultana and Upazila Chhatra Dal President Imran Hossain Shishir spoke.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman announced the "31-point agenda in the workshop and representative conference on state repair. Among others, Kapasia Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary and Kapasia Press Club President FM Kamal Hossain, BNP leaders Mejbah Uddin, Mir Masud Karim, Aminur Rahman, Mehedi Hasan Bachchu and District Volunteer Party Senior Joint General Secretary Matiur Rahman Moti spoke.

A large number of grassroots leaders from 11 units of Upazila BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Sramik Dal, Krishak Dal, Mahila Dal, and Ulama Dal delivered speeches.
