Various irregularities, including not arriving at school on time, have been alleged against Dil Rawshan Rebecca Sultana, the acting headmaster of Bengmari Dangapara Government Primary School in Nilphamari Sadar Upazila.

According to the complaint filed by the local residents, Dil Raushan Rebek Sultana is the sister of an influential leader of the Awami League in Kishoreganj Upazila. During the fascist Awami League government, that teacher used to boldly introduce herself as a member of the Awami League family and show off her power.

On that basis, she would come to school and do whatever she wanted. She would come to school at 11 am and leave before 2 pm. No one would dare to say anything to her due to her power. If anyone said anything, she would threaten them in various ways. That teacher used to say that her brother was an influential leader and chairman of the Awami League. I will do whatever I want, no one has the power to do anything against me. Even though the fascist Awami League has fallen, the teacher's power has not diminished. She still often leaves school before the scheduled time. Locals say that currently, primary school teachers have to register their attendance on WhatsApp. Acting head teacher Dil Rawshan Rebecca Sultana comes to the school at the scheduled time and signs the attendance book. Although the official rule is to close the school at 4:15 pm, she often leaves the school before 2 pm. While leaving school, she tells the assistant teachers to tell someone that she has gone to work at the Upazila Education Office.

Some parents, who did not want to be named, said that the headmaster is not available when they go to the school for various tasks including admission, testimonials, completion certificates, and stipend-related work. He often stays outside the school on various pretexts. When they call him, he says that he has come to work at the Upazila Education Office. Due to this, we have to travel around for 7/8 days and get harassed. The parents also said that the headmaster is the head of a school. If the head is not in order, how can the institution run? He does whatever he wants without paying attention to government rules and regulations. Due to this, the attendance of students in the school is decreasing significantly day by day.

Locals complain that acting headmaster Rebecca Sultana Shleep does not properly use the government allocation for decorating pre-primary classrooms and repairing the school. When someone asks for information about the government allocation, she does not give it and instead misbehaves with him. She takes out her mobile phone and makes videos and behaves indecently with the fear of being sued. They say that if a headmaster's behavior and language are like this, what will the students learn from here?

Meanwhile, on November 2, 2025, a complaint signed by 64 people, including local people, land donors, and members of the managing committee, was submitted to the District Primary Education Office against Rebecca Sultana's irregularities. On November 4, the District Primary Education Office accepted the complaint in memorandum No. JPRASHIA/Nil/2025/1608. Meanwhile, even though almost 9 months have passed since the complaint was filed, the District Primary Education Office has not taken any action, which has created extreme anger among the parents and locals.

When contacted, Upazila Primary Education Officer Jachizul Alam Mondal said, "I have received some verbal complaints against the teacher, and the written complaint is at the district office."

District Primary Education Officer (Acting) Rabiul Islam said that local people have filed a complaint against Dil Raushan Rebecca Sultana, the acting headmaster of Bengmari Dangapara Government Primary School, and the investigation is ongoing. Action will be taken against her after the investigation is completed.
