Supreme Court lawyer and Habiganj-4 Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Sumon told Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina about death threats from an unknown person.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also listened carefully to the details of the incident and assured to take appropriate measures.

Barrister Suman himself confirmed the matter in his social media Facebook status on Monday (July 1) evening.

In the caption of the Facebook status, Barrister Suman wrote, 'Gabhir listened carefully to my death threats. He once again set an example of humanity. Great gratitude to the honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Obaidul Quader MP.

Along with the caption in the status, Sayedul Haque Sumon published a video of 46 seconds. In the video, it is seen that he is narrating the death threat to the Prime Minister and the Prime Minister is listening attentively. Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, State Minister of Health Dr. Rokeya Sultana and many others were present.

Barrister Suman made a general diary (GD) at the Sherebangla Nagar Police Station in the capital on the night of June 29. In the GD, he mentioned that during his stay in Dhaka on June 27, at around 2 am, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chunarughat Police Station of my constituency called me on WhatsApp from his official mobile phone and said, 'An unknown strong group of 4-5 people has come to kill you three days ago.They are in field with a team. You don't go out at night and be careful.'

"Then when I asked the OC about the identity of the unknown persons, he refused to reveal the identity of those persons and advised me to be careful. After knowing this I am seriously insecure.'
