Barishal Metropolitan new Police Commissioner Shafiqul Islam joins

Md Shafiqul Islam, Deputy Inspector General of Police appointed as Commissioner of Barishal Metropolitan Police has joined on Sunday.
He was serving as the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Dhaka Crime Investigation Department.
On Sunday (September 22), the matter was confirmed in a notification signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Habibul Hasan of the Police-1 Section of the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs by the order of the President.
The notification also said that Aminul Islam, who was promoted to the post of supernumerary DIG in charge of Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, was transferred to the post of Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner, but he has been transferred as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Rangpur range.
