Bangladeshi boy shot dead by BSF in Thakurgaon

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) members gunned down a 14-year-old Bangladeshi child along the Dhanatala border in Thakurgaon.
The deceased was known as Jayanta Kumar Singa, 15, son of Mahadev Kumar.
Besides, three others were injured in the incident. Locals rescued them and took them to Rangpur for treatment.
Baliadangi police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Firoz Kabir confirmed the matter.
According to locals and police sources, when a group of 10-12 individuals, including Jayanta and his father from Bottoli Thumunia village in Dhanatala Union, attempted to enter India through the 393 Main Pillar area of the Baliadangi-Dhanatala border, the BSF opened fire at them. Jayanta was killed on the spot, and two others including his father were injured.
BGB-50 Battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel Tanzir Ahmed said that the process of bringing back the body is underway.
