National Cooperative Day-2026 was celebrated in Narsingdi with the theme 'We will make cooperatives, build a country, Bangladesh for everyone'.
On this occasion, a discussion meeting was organized at the District Shilpakala Academy on Sunday morning under the initiative of the District Administration and Cooperative Department. Narsingdi Sadar-1 constituency MP Khairul Kabir Khokon was present as the chief guest.
Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner Israt Jahan Keya presided over the program, which was attended by special guests including Narsingdi-3 MP Manjur Elahi, Narsingdi-5 MP Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, Police Superintendent Abdullah Al Faruk, Cooperative Training Institute Principal Rabiul Islam, District Cooperative Officer Hasan Al Mamun and Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Asma Jahan Sarkar.
Chief guest Khokon said at the event, the previous fascist Awami League government looted the country's cooperative societies. They looted and completely destroyed 'Sonar Bangla' and Raipura Samiti in Madhavdi, Narsingdi. We are electing real representatives through a new democratic process to make the country's cooperative societies active and dynamic.
