Assault of student with pistol for not getting seat in front row of mosque ; pistol recovered in Rupganj

It has been alleged that an influential person named Harun Ur Rashid attacked a madrasa student and a Muslim with a pistol after an argument with him over not getting a seat in the front row of the mosque.
One madrasa student named Mizanur Rahman was injured in the incident. The incident took place on Tuesday morning in Bariyachni village of the Upazila.
Maulana Faiz Ullah, principal of Babus Salam Madrasa and Orphanage in Bariyachni, said that a man named Harun Ur Rashid had been using his influence to seat Muslims in the front row of the mosque for a long time. He also abused the imam and madrasa students on Islamic issues. In this regard, Harun Ur Rashid attacked a madrasa student, Hafez Mizanur Rahman, with a pistol after an argument with the students after Fajr prayers. At that time, the students detained him with the pistol and informed the Rupganj police station, but the police took only the pistol from the scene to the police station.
In this regard, local Muslim Siraj Mia said, a person named Harun Ur Rashid is living in a house by buying land in the Bariya Chhani area. If anyone argues with him, he threatens to shoot with the pistol he uses. Similarly, this morning, he injured a madrasa student with a pistol in public. Earlier, he faced widespread criticism when he went to seize land by shooting with a weapon in public.
In this regard, the accused Harun Ur Rashid said, the mosques where I pray follow the Hanafi school, and I pray in the Hanbali school. That is why there is an argument over Islamic issues. I used to sit in the front row all the time, but this morning when I went to pray, they blocked me and stood in the front row. I was humiliated by this. Later, due to an argument, they wanted to attack me in a group. So, I took my licensed pistol to scare the students, but I didn't hit anyone. I didn't get hurt. Later, the Rupganj police took my pistol. They showed me the license and said they would return it. I will bring it.
In this regard, Rupganj Police Station OC Tariqul Islam said, I have come to know about the attack . I have recovered a legal weapon. However, no one has been arrested without receiving a complaint. The locals and the madrasa authorities said that the matter was resolved in the area.
