Art, culture-loving mothers can give better society: PSTU VC

A two-day annual literary and cultural competition was inaugurated at Pirojpur Government Women's College on Tuesday morning.
Pirojpur Science and Technology University (PSTU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam inaugurated the competition as the chief guest.
PSTU Vice Chancellor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam said, literature and culture are an integral part of our Bengali ethnicity. Art, literature and culture expand our thoughts and consciousness, enrich our minds and awaken human values. Girls specially need more art, literature and culture. Because an art and culture-loving mother can give a better society.
PSTU Vice Chancellor also said that 132 children and adolescents and 11 women were martyred in the July-August movement. We have seen how women have led the student-public procession.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Sheikh Rafiqul Islam.
Principal of Pirojpur Govt Women's College, Panna Lal Roy, Principal of Pirojpur Govt Suhrawardy College and Pirojpur Bureau Chief of Dainik Ittefaq Md. Muniruzzaman Nasim Ali were present as special guests.
