Arrest, trial of killers in Tablighi Jamaat demanded in Gafargaon

As part of the nationwide protest program, a protest procession, rally and sit-in program was held in Gafargaon, Mymensingh, demanding the immediate arrest and trial of Tablighi supporters.
On Friday, after Jumma, 5/6 thousand religious devotees participated in the protest procession, rally and sit-in program demanding the immediate arrest and trial of the supporters of Tablighi in the Tongi Ijtema Maidan murder case.
The protest procession started from Gafargaon Mini Stadium and circled the main roads in the city and sat on the road in front of Gafargaon Police Station and Army Camp for two and a half hours.
Later, Hafez Nurul Islam, Maulana Mahmudul Hasan Salmani, Maulana Anwar Hossain Asadi, Mufti Maulana Azizur Rahman, Maulana Mahadi Hasan, Maulana Zahirul Islam, Maulana Monirul Islam and other scholars and ulama addressed the sit-in rally. At this time, Major Abdullah Al Sharif, in charge of the Gafargaon temporary army camp, and Gafargaon Police Station OC Muhammad Shibirul Islam assured the implementation of the sit-in program in view of the demands of thousands of devotees.
