
Anti-drug dialogue held in Gafargaon

An anti-drug dialogue was held in Gafargaon on gang culture and ease of drug availability in the district on Wednesday afternoon.
UNO N.M. Abdullah-al-Mamun was present as the chief guest in the dialogue organized by the School of Leadership at the house of freedom fighter Nazmul Haque in the Bharail area.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Amir Salman Roni and OC of Gafargaon Police Station Md. Bachchu Mia were present as special guests in the anti-drug dialogue presided over by School of Leadership USA member Nadimul Haque.
Dr. Golam Rabbani Nayan Bangali, founding director of School of Leadership USA, inaugurated the program online.
Primary Teachers Association President Habibur Rahman Kajal, poet and teacher Fazlur Rahman Kamal, journalist Matiur Rahman, Robel Mahmud, Shahnewaz Bachchu, Safiruddin High School student Nausheen and others participated in the anti-drug dialogue titled "Mofsal Gang Culture, Easy Availability of Drugs: What We Should Do".
He called on the teachers and students present at the anti-drug dialogue to take part in the awareness procession and build resistance against drugs and mofsal gang culture. The anti-drug dialogue organized by the School of Leadership USA was supported by the freedom fighter Nazmul Haque Foundation.
The participants expressed their hope that such events will play a major role in creating good citizens, public awareness, and appropriate leadership.
In his speech as the chief guest, UNO N.M Abdullah-al-Mamun said, the police and upazila administration are working by following the administration's zero tolerance policy against drugs. Students and youth must be saved from this curse. We must raise awareness, everyone must work together against drugs.
