Anti-Discrimination Student Movement meeting interrupted at PSTU

Central coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud and a delegation arrived at Patuakhali Science and Technology University as part of the exchange meeting of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement with the general students.
The exchange meeting was supposed to start at 3 pm on Tuesday, September 10, in the meeting room of TSC of the university, but the delegation including coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud could not attend the campus at the scheduled time. Allegedly, a section of local students prevented him from coming to the campus.
When the meeting started an hour and a half after the scheduled time, some university students got into an argument with Abdul Hannan Masud through irrelevant questions. At one point they got excited and misbehaved with Abdul Hannan Sohag and canceled the program by tearing the banner of the programme.
According to eyewitness sources, Tanveer Ahmed, a student of the CSC Faculty of the University of 2017-18 session, and Salman Rahman, a student of the same session, led some students in this disturbance. At this time, some local BNP activists are seen gathering inside the campus.
Eyewitness student Noor Nabi Sohan said, "Some students of the campus kept heating up the coordinators by asking irrelevant questions with the aim of pre-planned anti-discrimination student movement discussion meeting.At one point they got angry and tore down the event's banner and insulted the coordinators."
Khalid Hasan Milu, a student of the Faculty of Agriculture, said, this disorder is pre-planned, "part of the conspiracy to build a new Bangladesh through the anti-discrimination student movement. Also the showdown of outsiders inside the campus is sad. We common students will unitedly stop this conspiracy."
Abdul Hannan Masud, the coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, said, "We have been to many places but nowhere have we come across such a situation. Before entering the campus, the local students prevented them from coming.
Centering on this incident, the university's student affairs adviser Prof. Zillur Rahman, proctor Abul Bashar Khan and the chairman of the management studies department, Prof. Dr. Md. Mujahidul Islam, a team of teachers including Professor ABM Saiful Islam of the Faculty of Agriculture discussed and announced the ban on all kinds of organizations except the main organization of the university.
